BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL

July 30 - August 8, 2010

Berries, vintage cars, music, food and tarp displays; if it’s blue, it’s probably happening in the Mount Snow area towns of Wilmington, Whitingham and Dover in late July and early August. Visitors to the Valley will find children’s activities at various establishments, blueberry themed specials in the local eateries, blue music events, a blue car auto show, blueberry bake sales, blue beer, as well as pick your own blueberry opportunities. Quest - Gateway to a blue experience! Pick up a "Passport to Blue Adventures at the Chamber. Establishments hosting A Blue Event or Activity will be asked to sign or stamp the individual's Passport that participated or visited and the person with the most events attended will get a prize www.vermontblueberry.com.

• July 29 - 31, 2010, 8 pm - Memorial Hall Center for the Arts: The Southern Vermont Players perform a whimsical play about an affable man, Elwood P. Dowd, whose best friend just happens to be a six foot, three inch tall rabbit. Call 802-464-8411 for more information. Wilmington.

 

• July 30, 2010, 5:30PM - Blueberry Festival Opening Ceremonies at Lake Whitingham: Pack your own picnic dinner. There will be 100 gallons of blueberry Jell-O for the children to play in!
