 Vermont's 9th Annual Deerfield Valley Blueberry Festival


July 29 - August 7, 2016

Berries, parades, block parties, music, food and tarp displays; if it's blue, it's probably happening in Southern Vermont's Mount Snow area towns of Wilmington, Jacksonville, Whitingham, Readsboro, Marlboro and Dover. Visitors to the valley will find children's activities, family fun, blueberry themed specials in the local eateries, blue music events,  blueberry bake sales and blue beer. There will be many events over this 10 day festival. It's fun, it's silly and something everyone can take part in.


4 - 8 pm: Jacksonville Village Chalk Walk & Street Fair  Start at Honora Winery Tasting room for their Blueberry Beer tasting and wind your way through a classic New England Village. Stop for the Library Programs, the Blue Eye Contest, Blueberry Church Supper, Create sidewalk chalk art near the Spoonwood Cabin, and the Jacksonville General Store, and the Whitingham Farmer's Market at the Municipal Center. Cash prizes for best Blueberry themed chalk drawing. Live music!!!

3 – 7 pm: Sprague & Son Sugarhouse Open for the Jacksonville Street Fair and Aug. 6 & 7, 10 am - 5 pm 10% off Maple Syrup with Festival Passport. Offering our new Maple soft-serve ice cream and Sugar-on-Snow along with tours and tastings. 1631 Route 100 South, Jacksonville 802-368-2776

5 – 7 pm: Jacksonville Community Church Spaghetti Dinner Spaghetti Supper with Homemade Sauce, Salad, Rolls and Homemade Blueberry Crisp with Ice Cream. $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for children under 5.

12 – 5 pm: Blueberry Bash at Mount Snow A one-day festival! Join us for our Blueberry Fest celebration at the base of Mount Snow featuring BBQ, beer, free live music, some of your favorite backyard games, and a blueberry eating contest with some incredible prizes. 2 – 4 pm: Discover Wilmington Village Blueberry Scavenger Hunt How well do you know the village? Create teams of 2-6 people. $2.00 per person entry fee. Cash prizes for the top 3 fastest teams. At 10:30AM: Annual Blueberry StoryWalk® postponed until Monday August 8 at 10:30AM at Molly       Stark State Park.  Join Pettee Memorial Library for a casual stroll around the park while reading picture book "Blueberries for Sal."  There will be a special blueberry snack under the shelter.  Mention PETTEE LIBRARY and get in FREE.  All ages welcome.  For more information, contact the library at 464-8557.
